Sell Out

My New ‘Do

February 12, 2008

This has to be quick, because my house? It is trashed. I have not done a single thing since we got home from tumbling other than work on this mother-effing blog. Design? Not my thing.

I have less than an hour to go clean my house before my husband comes home from work. I suppose I could just point at the computer and tell him I was busy, but I think he’d prefer to have a clean house instead of a wife with a pretty blog. Bastard.

So, tell me if something doesn’t work right.  I dunno why I want you to tell me. It’ll just make me cry. Ah well. Such is life.

One more (very important) thing to tell you. Eeyore just started taking piano lessons. Yesterday was his second lesson and he brought home a sheet of music (is that what its called? Its paper with little note looking thingies in all these lines? And he pushes the buttons and it makes music?) and he can already play the song! He is a freakin’ supahstar! But, as evidenced above in the parantheses, I know NOTHING about reading music, making music, etc. and GUESS WHO ELSE CAN PLAY THE SONG? Me.

I am a musical prodigy.

I was so proud of Eeyore when I saw that he could play a song after just two lessons, but I’m even more proud of me. Sure, he’s smart. But, I’m smarter. I did it with NO lessons! (Fuckin’ kids…always trying to steal my thunder and make me look bad. Its my turn now, Eeyore. MY TURN.) (I’m aware that I sound a little crazed in that last parenthetical aside. This is what happens what I stare at a computer screen and try to figure out CSS and whatnot.) (I hate CSS.)

It’s so cuuuute over here! I love the green you chose. Very lovely and makes me think of spring. The only thing that looks effed up is that the title of your post starts on one line and ends on another. I’m using Firefox on a Mac OSX, 10.4.

So, when can we expect a video of you prodeginess at the piano? I imagine you’ll be banging away on the keys while Eeyore sobs in the background.

Thanks Suzi! I hadn’t noticed that! I’m working on it.

And the image of me on the piano with Eeyore in the back crying? Hilarious. I’m thinking I would be cackling maniacally (is that a word?) while he cries. Definitely.

Oh Karly, I’m hoping it’s just me and my laptop, but your blog is afu. I have to scroll 3/4 of the way down just to get to your latest entry and there aren’t any photos – least not of you as Mozart. Most of it is your links, archives, Karly’s Shared Items, ads and a whole lotta white, blank space at the top. I love ya – read you daily. Sorry to be a bummer.

You can make sense of CSS and you can play the piano without a lesson? Are you about to start leaping tall buildings in a single bound?
