Sell Out

I’m Like That Kid Sneaking In The Back Door An Hour After Curfew

March 17, 2008

What? What do you mean where have I been? I’ve been RIGHT HERE. You just didn’t see me, because I was, like, being quiet and stuff. I didn’t want to disturb you. But, I have TOTALLY been here.

The kids got pictures on Friday and, miraculously, my children had not disfigured themselves so the pictures are pretty damn cute.

Em and Lij

Cleatus didn’t go with me like I had planned (something about needing to replace our water heater, blah blah blah, his life is SO EASY compared to mine!) so I, of course, spent a small fortune on pictures and am now on welfare in order to feed my children. But, when you have kids as gorgeous as mine, you do what you have to do.

Elijah

Other than looking at my gorgeous offspring and cashing my welfare checks I haven’t done much else this weekend. You know, other than HAVE A BIRTHDAY PARTY. My mama and daddy had us over for pizza and cake and PRESENTS on Sunday night. It was a good thing, too, because it has been entirely too long since I last opened a gift. Honestly, I don’t know what I’m going to do from now until Christmas.

Emma

Thankfully I got some pretty good gifts, so they should hold me over. My absolute least favorite gift of all was the KitchenAid stand mixer. Those things are so over rated and I just wasn’t a bit excited about it. I mean, really, when Eeyore acted like he was going to pick the box up and nearly dropped it, all I said was “Watch your toes.” I didn’t threaten to sell him on the black market to replace the mixer or anything. And, obviously, I didn’t call a lawyer today about divorcing Cleatus and running off with my mixer. I mean, that’d be dumb. Its just a MIXER.

Its My Birthday

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have some cookies to go bake with my gorgeous children and my gorgeous mixer.

I don’t care who knows it– I am TOTALLY in love with my mixer. If the laptop wasn’t up for a humping, I’d totally do it with my Kitchenaid.

    You lucky thing, you.

    Happy Birthday!

    And your kids? Are gorgeous.

Those things are totally rockin’! (The mixer, not the kids, although the kids are pretty sweet, too. But if I had to choose…. well… I’m just sayin’…)

Those pictures are wonderful. I am impressed with your parenting skills and I totally understand the need for welfare because of the pictures.

    And happy birthday!

Sorry, you know I don’t cook. I’m sure the mixer is nice and all.

Gorgeous kiddos mama! That first one is really lovely.

And the mixer ain’t half bad either.

I’m holding out for the stainless steel model myself. Of course, I could always go and buy it for myself, but then *I* would be the one needing to go on welfare.

It’s amazing how a good picture of gorgeous offspring can TOTALLY wipe away any doubt that they’re angels. Until one of them tries to kill the mixer. I LOVE mine, and I use it all the time. Have fun making cookies!

The pics look great! You can see your kids have big personalities from looking at those pictures!

Ohhhh, congrats on the mixer. I have a gigantic one and I joke that the whisk is as big as my head (I’m not joking). I see lots of raw cookie dough eating in your kids near future – unless of course, they harm the mixer then they will be forced to watch you eat it all won’t they?

    Happy Birthday!
