Ok, I kinda feel the need to defend my “hell yes” on the last poll. I could possibly be an OCD neurotic female but having seen some of the stuff in a grocery store warehouse that CRAWLS and POOPS all over canned good, packaged goods and pop, well, there’s not a whole lot that comes into my house that doesn’t at least get wiped down.

Yes I wipe the caps of milk jugs off. I also do this for anything else, regardless of plastic seal. Just a quick wipe with a cloth saturated in Clorox Anywhere cleaner and I’m good to go.

It just grosses me out because I have no idea where the hands that handle my food products have been…in their pants, up their noses or picking their shorts out of their ass cracks. Not only that but my eldest daughter is a checker for a large grocery store and I can’t tell you the number of times she comments about how other checkers and baggers DO NOT WASH THEIR HANDS after using the restroom.

Yes I am strange - I’ve embraced my inner freak.

You do realize that the same Chinese gentleman who ejaculated all over my fridge could also have ejaculated all over my applesauce jar? Well…maybe not the same one, but a guy just like him. All I’m saying is that the food containers are dirty as well. So what is the point of cleaning the fridge (for the sole purpose of disinfecting the factory worker’s ick) if you aren’t also going to clean the containers you put in to the fridge? Hmm???

Food is sealed - like milk and stuff. Your refrigerator on the other hand was probably assembled (and possibly ejaculated in) by a chinese gentleman.

I looked like an idiot yesterday…I was going to tell you I would clean a fridge just with vinegar because of all the creepy fridge factory people, and then tell you what I did with my dishwasher…then got called away by kids and it looked like I didn’t know the difference between a fridge and a dishwasher. I assure you, I do.
