Again, Without A Title. Where Is My Titling Mojo?

    August 28, 2008
    • I’ve finished reading the Twilight series. Edward Cullen is HOT. Last night Cleatus climbed in to bed with me after brushing his teeth and put his icy cold hand (cold from the water, not because he is actually a vampire) on my belly and I turned to him and kissed him and called him Edward and then we did it. He wouldn’t call me Bella though and that kind of killed the mood. He’s such a loser.
    • Cindy-Lu had her visitation day at pre-school yesterday. I’m trying to feel a little sad that my baby is growing up and going to pre-school, but instead I’m excited for her. She’s going to love pre-school.
    • I’m going to the mall today to get Cindy-Lu a couple new outfits for school. I got a coupon for Gymboree in the mail and I. CAN’T. WAIT. I only allow myself to go in Gymboree when 1. I’m feeling extraordinarily strong and know that I will not allow myself to spend $30 on a single cotton t-shirt, 2. I have a coupon, or 3. I’m rather desperate for a little SHOPPY and I just can’t help myself. Number 3 gets me in to a bit of trouble every now and then, but THE CLOTHES, THEY ARE CUTE. Today is a mixture of 2 and 3, so I’m hoping to make it out of there with enough money left to feed us for the rest of the week. Happily the week ends in 2 days and we have lots of peanut butter in the house.
    • School. It starts Monday. Yes, I know…Monday is Labor Day, but I hate starting on a Tuesday and I didn’t want to start this week and I can’t push it back another week, so Labor Day it is. Homeschooling. So flexible.

You can justify Gymboree clothes, for sure — they last FOREVER. I have handmedowns that look new.

And the cuteness? Agreed! I can handle the kids acting like terrors a lot better if they look cute. It’s a survival tool.

Woman! Get thee to an outlet mall. We snapped up clothes from Gymboree and Children’s Place for pennies on the dollar. I still spent over $100, but I bought two kids 3 large bags of tightly folded clothes, which is better than 3 t-shirts for that same amount.

MAybe you and Cleatus can play a Gymboree outlet roleplay instead of that Twilight stuff and kill two birds with one stone?

“Oh, Cleatus, I can have all these cute gymboree t-shirts and that darling sun dress for $40? Hand clenching. Oh, yes. Yes! Yes. (Cue ripping Cleatus’ Gymboree employee badge off and hot, awkward gropping at cash register)

      Heh!

I am reading Twilight right now and that first part almost lost me my job from laughing so hard! I know what you mean. I went from “Why do I want to read about vampires?” to “…God, why are there no decent vampires left out there?”

Hubby has BANNED me from Gymboree because I spend INSANE amounts of money in there. Last year was bad! And considerin the little imp only wore things maybe once before moving onto the next new outfit, I’m lucky the hubby isn’t making me sew all of her clothes…um with the sewing machine I INSISTED I needed last year and have yet to take out of the box.

Julia had her preschool meet and greet today and she starts next week. And while I know she is going to love preschool, I’m a basket case. It’s just my style.

We did her school shopping last weekend and it was SO.MUCH.FUN. Then we came home and did a fashion show for Dave. After the kids were asleep, Dave read off the total money saved amounts from my receipts and then we did it while I screamed BOGO! BOGO! It was hot.

I love the Gymboree off season sales. Did well. And they do last forever and I am seeing clothes on my youngest I bought 5 years ago so totally worth it. I too love the home school schedule. I think another month and we will be ready for school to start. oops, did I just admit that outloud?

I absolutely love Gymboree clothes. Every time I go to the mall I have to go into Gymboree. The place is expensive but Oo the clothes are so cute. My man can’t understand why I buy so many clothes for the kids. I just tell him he has his addictions and I have mine. Mine is just a bit more costly. Of course I always make sure to shop their off season sales.
