(First off, let me just go ahead and tell you that as I was composing this post in my head there was an exclamation point after every other word and I also threw in a lot of LIKE, TOTALLY! and SUPER COOL, MAN! and LIKE, OH MY GOSH, IT’S JUST SOOO AMAZING! So, as you are reading this you can choose to either go with the valley girl accent and excitement or you can just read it in your normal, non-annoying blog reading voice. Whatever. It’s up to you.)
A contest! My first ever! I think! Or maybe not! Who can really say?
A few weeks ago I joined in a pay it forward contest hosted by Vicky at Secret Mom Thoughts. I was the first person to enter the contest and I just KNEW that I wouldn’t win, because the Random Number Picker Thing (technical term) NEVER picks the first comment! I even said in my comment “I’m totally not going to win because I’m the first comment, boohoo, blah blah blah.”
And guess what happened?
I won! I know! Totally weird! And cool, too!
So, now, in true pay it forward fashion I am PAYING IT FORWARD. But, first…
My gift. I loved it. Vicky sent me a little grow your own Christmas tree thing and I LOVE IT! I can not wait to start growing it! Unfortunately my kids are spending the night with their grandma tonight so I have to wait for them. Well, I guess I don’t HAVE TO, but I probably should. Right?
Also in my package? Chocolates! BUT IT GETS EVEN BETTER! A candy cane shot glass! Obviously Vicky knows me well. She even wrote on a little note that the chocolates were for when I was stressed and the shot glass was for me to use with my vodka when I was REALLY STRESSED. I love Vicky.
There was also a Starbucks gift card in there, which YAY! Coffee! Yummy! Especially yummy spiked with vodka!
I was so confused when I saw the box sitting at my door. I couldn’t figure out who it was from and I wasn’t expecting anything in the mail today. When I opened it and saw the contents I did a little happy dance (and started speaking like a very excited valley girl, can not help it, unexpected gifts do that to me). Seriously, it just made my whole day.
Which is why you should totally play.
All you have to do is leave a comment to enter to win a gift from ME! Who wouldn’t love to receive a gift from me? I could send you candy! Or vodka! Or used kleenexes! Or homemade tampons! YOU JUST NEVER KNOW.

Or a tiny envelope-sized ninja that will steal your identity and run off with your credit cards. Either way, I get to choose.

I am laughing at my desk and my co worker is looking atme like I am crazy. I’ve never tried the KY yours and mine stuff and I am not sure if I want to feel like an ice cube was shoved up my hoo ha. So I am pretty sure that after that recommendation I probably won’t be running right out to the local discount store to purchase any. Although I have heard that using Listerine right before you get some loving on can cause some tingly feelings in certain places.

I’m over here dying laughing at the comments left about the KY. Cherie’s comment ’bout made me pee. I agree — totally ice cube up the hoo-ha and then when you add the “his to the hers” I got the blow torch effect like Shannon mentioned. It makes me wonder if that’s what they really mean in the commercials.
