A Surprise! For You! Because I Love You!

    December 20, 2008

Guess what! This is my post numero five hundredo! Seriously! Five hundred! I have spilled my guts to the internets about my family, my husband, my vagina, and my gout FIVE HUNDRED times! It’s amazing, I tell ya.

In honor of this most exciting number, I have TWO very exciting things happening here.

Number One: AN ANNOUNCEMENT! A most exciting announcement! One you will not believe! It’s amazing, it’s crazy, it’s incredible, IT’S GOOD, MAN.

Okay, now that I’ve built it up so much, you’ll all be dissapointed. But, that’s ok. I’m used to dissapointing people. It’s what I do. *sob*

Number Two: A GIVEAWAY! Yes! An honest to goodness giveaway! And, yes, I most certainly CAN host a giveaway even though I have yet to ship my very special package to An Iowa Mom (it’s coming soon, I promise!) who won my pay it forward contest a couple of weeks ago. Just because I am a horrible person and I procrastinate doesn’t mean that I can’t just go ahead and GIVE AWAY MORE STUFF. So there.

So, which would you like to hear about first? The free stuff or the exciting announcement?

Here, I’ll just tie it all together. With a ribbon. Like a present. Because it’s almost Christmas.

What the hell am I talking about? I don’t even know anymore.

Up for grabs is a $25 Amazon gift card. Why? Because I love you. Because you’re beautiful. Because I happen to believe that if it weren’t for all of you and your “Oh, yes, I’ve been there-s” and your “Oh, I hate boys too-s” and your “Ooh, nice boobs-s,” well my world would be a sad little place.

You want to win this $25 Amazon gift card? All you have to do is head over to MY NEW COOKING BLOG (said in a Price Is Right voice with beautiful, skinny models gesturing towards the blog) and check it out. Leave a comment, if you want! It’s lonely over there! Then come back here and leave me a comment telling me what types of recipes you’d like to see featured.  Be sure to leave a comment on THIS post to enter.

You have until 10pm CST Monday, December 22, 2008 to enter. I’ll use the random number picker thing and announce a winner on Tuesday morning. And then I’ll email you the gift card. Because we all know that going to the post office the week of Christmas is a bad idea, right?

Number one again. Not as exciting this time.

Anyway, I don’t really cook so I probably shouldn’t request any recipes. Although I can always email them to my husband so, um, how about healthy and quick dinners? Or more of that yummy chocolate like you posted today.

Your new blog looks great. I would some vegetarian recipes. That aren’t too complicated. Made with ingredients I usually have laying around the house. Should be easy, right?

Hm… DESSERTS. Lots and lots of DESSERTS! I love me some thunder thighs and mushroom belly. OK, not really, but I love dessert. That chocolate cobbler looks amazing.

What if you put all your recipes in links on the sidebar so they are easy to scroll through? The website design is adorable.

Well, I already tried your raspberry pie and your chocolate cobbler looks fan-freakin’-tastic, so I vote for more sweets! But the sausage dressing looks good, and the potato croquettes look good, and the….

So, yeah, I guess what I’m saying is any recipe is good.

I am thankful every time you post. You inspire me. My very favorite post about your Brazilian wax job inspired me to try some “redesigning” of my own. And it had me laughing until i almost passed out. Best post ever. And I don’t mean just here, I mean the whole web.

I love the new recipe blog!! Gonna try the chocolate cobbler - Got any cheese dip recipes in your archives? Around the holidays people go crazy for cheese and appetizers here in Arizona. Probably the unnatural temperatures on Xmas day that make us unable to commit to actually cooking an entire meal.

I love how a lot of your recipes are idiot-proof. Because I? Am a complete cooking idiot. I could burn water.

I really like the recipes that require pretty much just stuff I’d have lying around anyway. You have some of those, which is great. I also like recipes that require very little cleanup and a minimum of prep time - the less time I’m in the kitchen, the better. :P

How did I completely miss that the fact that you even HAD a cooking blog? I must find some gluten free bread crumbs that don’t suck, because OMG I want to make those potato things.

I don’t know what to tell you to feature, because I’m high maintenance. Anything that happens to be gluten free and nut free will make me squeal with delight and jump up and down, and if I can’t eat it, I’ll still drool over the pictures and laugh at your commentary. Because yum. And you are funny.
