Cindy-Lu’s most prized possession, the cupcake maker.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, there are many tiny pieces and parts that I need to go scrub “cupcake” and “frosting” from. (Cupcake and frosting are in quotes, because seriously, that shit ain’t right.)

Cameron says:
Cupcake….frosting. That’s like air and water, totally necessary in life. How cute, in her little apron and all. And what is that gadget she is working with? Does this device actually create a cupcake? How come you have all the cool tools, and where the hell do you store them all? Sweet God, I have a damn small kitchen, you must have two kitchens or something.

Forget the “cupcakes” — I want to take a bite of that sweet little Cindy-Lu! OMG is she cute!!!!!
BTW, how’s about a tutorial on how you do those awesome black & white/color pictures. I’ve seen a few of them from you and they’re just the coolest!

Did someone who hates you buy that for her as revenge? Or are you some kind of masochist? I can’t imagine willingly purchasing something that I knew would be such a royal pain in the ass!

This reminds of the least favorite gift Rocco received this year. The Play Doh ice cream shop. Whoever thought it was a good idea to mix Playdoh with lots of tiny moving parts? He played with it exactly once, then it got “lost.”
Yes, I know. I’m horrible. Sue me!

I couldn’t do it. My kids wanted the cupcake maker but I convinced them to ask Santa for “real” baking tools instead.
Good luck, and it looks like Cindy-lu enjoyed herself.

Cindy-Lu is so cute! She could sell the cupcake maker. That cute little face? Who wouldn’t buy it?
Julia got the cupcake maker, too. We were both kind of excited to try it out on Christmas morning. We made the cupcake part okay, but we were really looking forward to the frosting. Particularly the part where you push down on the pink handle and make the awesome frosting swirl on the top of the cupcake. But, our frosting wasn’t thick enough. So, Julia pushed down on the pink handle and the icing plopped, the cupcake spun and icing droplets shot out everywhere. She said, “Mom, this isn’t what I expected. This cupcake doesn’t look very good.” Still, she ate it and loved it. It took us three tries to finally get the frosting right for the big swirly moment. Woohoo!

P.S. When Julia saw the pictures of Cindy-Lu with her cupcake maker she said, “Mom, that looks like me.”
Also, I think we have the same chairs.

Brave woman! DD wanted one and I showed her the package and said, “Bummer sweetie. It says you have to be 8.” She accepted it!
I’m so glad I didn’t get her one anyway.

whatever makes the baby happy right? That is all that matters. Just like the lil baking oven that my dd wanted so desperately a few years ago. That stuff made my house smell like a dang skunk invaded it. For months she asked to use her lil oven. I hate to admit that this bad mommy only let her use it once or twice….

That is so stinkin’ cute, it’s worth the cleaning…especially since I don’t have to do it! One year, my SIL got T some stupid thing where you have a kid-sized band saw to cut up styrofoam and make stuff…you can bet that thing got LOST immediately.

So how does it compare to the Easy Bake Oven from my day? I remember thinking those tasted good, but they probably didn’t!
And I agree– the black and white/colorized photo looks awesome! I tried doing something similar with our Christmas pic and couldn’t figure it out. I wish you lived close by so I could hire you as a photographer.
