    About Me

I hate these About Me pages. They are so difficult to write, so I’ll just begin with the basics and hopefully it will turn into some masterfully written piece of work. (Highly doubtful, but a girl has to have dreams.)

I am 25 26 years old, married to Cleatus (that is not his real name, thank God), and the mother of two children, Eeyore, age 7 8, and Cindy-Lu Hoo, age 2 3.

I got pregnant with Eeyore the summer before my senior year of high school. Don’t tell my parents, but he wasn’t an accident. Cleatus and I had been dating for a year and sleeping with each other for just as long (hey, when its right, its right!) and I was constantly late for my period. Every month it would be the question: Am I? or Aren’t I? It was always no, but we never took any precautions to prevent it and we never freaked out when I’d be late. Eventually the answer was yes, yes you are pregnant. And we were happy.

I dropped out of high school and got my GED. Eeyore was born in April of 2000 and Cleatus and I were married in July of 2000. We bought our first new car and our first house that year as well. It was a busy year for us, especially considering I was only 18 and he was only 19.

We had our ups and downs and finally we had way more downs than ups and Cleatus and I split up for a month or two. It was the hardest time of my life and I cried every day. I begged him to come home and he did. Since then, we have way more ups than downs and I know that our marriage will last.

In 2004, after 2 years of begging Cleatus for another child, he agreed that we could try for one more. This was in March. As soon as he said yes I panicked and told him we should wait awhile. He was thrilled. And the next month I took a pregnancy test and it was positive.

I truly believe that what is meant to be will be and Cindy-Lu was definitely meant to be.

Cleatus works full time (and then some) at an ethanol plant. He loves his job. Before working at the ethanol plant he worked two other jobs that he positively hated. He is a much happier person now.

I stay home with my kids and have just begun homeschooling. I used to work part time at a family medical practice doing Human Resources and supervising the clerical staff. I still do the payroll for the office, but that is only every two weeks, so I pretty much consider myself retired.

My days consist of schooling my kids, pulling my hair out from all the whining, cleaning the toilet, and reading blogs. Sometimes I find time to go shopping or out with friends. I also try to get drunk at least once a month. It keeps me young. That, and the drunk sex is always excellent.

We are a happy little family.
